The job
Power cuts are more common out west than they are on the coast, and a winery cannot afford one. Fermentation and refrigeration have to keep going, and losing a batch costs far more than the system does.
So this one was built around backup as well as savings. The 96.8 kWh of storage will run the site through an outage, not just trim the peak off a sunny day.
176 Aiko 475 W panels across the sheds feed two SigenStor inverters, which run the panels and the batteries as one system rather than two separate ones.
