The job
This business wanted batteries eventually but wanted the solar saving money straight away. We fitted hybrid inverters, which are inverters that can run panels and batteries together, plus the gateway that manages the switch between them. Adding the batteries later is a day's work rather than a second project.
The system is 99.75 kW for a reason. Once you go over 100 kW the electricity network treats the connection differently and the approvals take longer, so we sized it to sit just under.

Modelled from the installed system size at 1,530 kWh per kWp a year in Queensland, 18 cents per kWh blended across self-consumption and export, $850 per kW installed after certificates, and 0.7 kg of CO2e a kWh for the Queensland grid.
